From the ADMIN Team: Spring is in the air! As the warm weather approaches, we ask that you remind your children to drink lots of water and apply sunscreen for extended time outside.
Also, a reminder as the days get longer that children need SLEEP, SLEEP, SLEEP to be ready to learn: 10-12 hours of sleep per day.
ARE YOU MOVING? If there is a chance that your family MAY be moving from our school this summer, please fill out the yellow form that will be sent home later this week. This will help us begin to plan for next school year. Please return the form to the office BEFORE May 31st.
Class Placement—Parent Input for September
In June, teachers begin the process of creating classes for September. During this process, staff consider the following:
- student achievement levels and work habits
- peer relationships
- special learning needs or medical conditions
- the number of girls/boys enrolled in each grade
- previous class assignments
As parents, you may have additional information you would like staff to consider as we develop the classes for September 2019/20. Please provide specific information related to the points outlined above. We will not accept requests that have specific teacher names attached to them. If you are interested in providing input about your child’s placement, please pick up a “Parent Input-Class Placement” form at the office and return the form to the office prior to May 31st. We appreciate your feedback and will give careful consideration to your input when creating class placements. Due: Friday May 31, 2019
Spring Flowers... Our kindergarten students have brightened up our entry way thanks to the daffodil bulbs they planted this fall. The bulbs were donated to our school from the BC Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation as part of the "Planting a Promise" program. Many thanks to Ms. Carter who made this happen for our school.

LOST AND FOUND
Our lost and found bin has been overflowing the past few weeks. We have laid out the clothing in the hallway and will walk our students by it to claim their lost items. We will be donating the items at the end of the week, so please ask your children to look for anything lost before then or come by the school, sign in at the office, and check it out yourself. Thank you!
